We stayed in a cozy, private villa named "The Retreat," surrounded by beautiful gardens. The kids loved splashing in the private pool, and we enjoyed the breathtaking views of the Douro River from our terrace. The villa itself was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host, Sebastião, was incredibly friendly and helpful, providing us with a warm welcome and even taking us on a tour of the local area. We felt like we were in our own little paradise and can't wait to come back again!
My children wanted more board games for family fun nights.

We had an amazing stay at this lovely villa in Gondomar. The value for money was excellent, and the room was clean, spacious, and had a modern interior with air conditioning. The location was perfect, with beautiful views of the Douro Valley and easy access to Porto. The staff, especially Sebastião, were delightful and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience.
Breakfast delights could be improved with a wider selection of fresh milk options.

The room at Tapada De Sao Domingos was like a cozy retreat in the middle of nature! I felt like I was in my own little world, with a satellite TV and DVD player for entertainment. It was perfect for someone like me who loves to be in direct touch with nature.
Personally, I would have preferred if the room didn't have a satellite flat-screen TV.

The room was super cozy and had a nice seating area with a flatscreen TV and DVD player. It made me feel right at home after a long day of work.
Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the satellite TV. But hey, some people might actually enjoy it!

We absolutely loved our stay at Tapada De Sao Domingos! The host, Sebastian, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and took us on a guided tour of the bakery and supermarket. The location is stunning, with a breathtaking view of the Douro River and just 16 km from bustling Porto. The house itself was well-equipped and had a natural pool, which was great for our young families. The surrounding premises were spacious and offered privacy. Plus, the fact that there was a charging station for electric vehicles was a huge bonus.
We felt so at home during our stay at Tapada De Sao Domingos that nothing was ever too much trouble.

My partner and I recently stayed at Tapada De Sao Domingos for a week-long getaway. The rural and traditional area of Portugal where the hotel is located was a refreshing change from our usual city vacations. The host, Sebastião, was exceptional - he went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. The property itself is a unique blend of modern architecture and traditional furnishings, set amidst stunning views and tranquility. The quality of accommodation exceeded our expectations, and the private pool was a much-appreciated feature. We also enjoyed exploring Porto and nearby attractions such as Coimbra. our stay was absolutely fantastic, and Sebastião’s hospitality made it even more memorable.
Totally recommend this hotel.

I had a fabulous time at this hotel! The house was stunning with a gorgeous pool and breathtaking views. The cleanliness of both the interior and exterior of the house was top-notch. The unique features and meticulous renovation of the house added a touch of elegance. The location was perfect, offering privacy despite the presence of other guests. Each villa had its own private pool and garden area. The staff, particularly Sr. Sebastiao, was extremely welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. He even took us on a tour of the surrounding area and helped us shop for local produce. His recommendations for things to do and places to eat were spot on.
Absolutely nothing.

The private villa and pool provided the perfect setting for a family getaway. Our kids couldn't get enough of splashing around in the pool and exploring the beautiful gardens. It was so nice to have our own space away from other guests.
My wife says that it would have been even better if there were more kid-friendly amenities, like a playground or outdoor games.

We were looking for a peaceful getaway outside of town and Tapada De Sao Domingos was the perfect choice. The villa had breathtaking views, was impeccably clean, and had modern fixtures and fittings. The host, Sebastião, made us feel welcome and his language skills were outstanding. The location, while rural, was still conveniently close to shops, restaurants, and a bakery. We also loved being able to swim in the natural water pool and enjoy freshly squeezed orange juice from the property's trees.
Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

The villa had dope views of the Douro River, perfect for chillin' and taking insta-worthy pics. It was also lit because we could hit up Porto for some lit party vibes, but still come back to a chill spot surrounded by nature. And our host Sebastiao was the GOAT, always there with the mad tips and support.
If I had to pick one thing, it would be cool if there were more lit activities for young party animals like us. Maybe like a club night or something.

The room was super cozy and comfortable, with a chill seating area for lounging. I loved watching the satellite TV and movies on the DVD player, it felt like a home away from home. As a laid-back guest, this was exactly what I needed to relax and unwind.
The only thing I wasn't too keen on was the satellite TV selection, but that's just my personal taste. Others might still find plenty of enjoyment in it.
